The loaner car

Taken from: http://www.oakdaleautosales.com/
So I have an extremely nice brother who lets me drive his car. This car has been around the block a few times, and has some lovely tendencies. Now don't get me wrong, I am extremely grateful to have a car to drive, but it is always exciting to see what it is going to do next. So this car is a sweet Grand-Am, it is gold or brown (I think) depending on how dirty it is.  I also have a problem where I can't name anything, maybe because it is so permanent, I have no clue. so be very worried for my children, one day my son might be bob, the next day he might be John-Luke. Anyway, so the good old Grand-Am does not have a name and it is a he or she depending on how much it is acting up. Girl when it needs to be sweet talked, he when I'm mad or overly flirty... Just kidding.  Today we will call him Fred... no maybe we will call her Amy long for am. Thats it Amy the lovely grand-am (this may or may not stick). Well dear Amy is a noisy girl.  When she really gets going she makes a awesome clicking noise, my roommate lovingly refers to her as the amusement park ride. Okay picture this, as you start to accelerate Amy starts to click, the more you step on the gas the faster the clicking gets... get the picture? Often we throw our hands in the air and start wooing! It is great!
The other great feature about Amy is that one day when I was going to work the lights on my dashboard started going crazy. One time Amy's dash said I was going 100 I was really shocked and surprised considering I thought I was only going about 25. Oh Amy what a trickster. I do believe she likes to play practical jokes on me.  Her favorite joke as of recent is that she doesn't like to tell me how much gas is in her tank. I wonder if she is embarrassed or something, or maybe it is because I kept letting her get down to her last gallon. Oh well. I bet she just like to keep me guessing, kind of like when I'm driving back and forth between Idaho Falls and Rexburg. I have no idea how much gas we have or how fast we are going, but It is actually kind of nice not knowing your speed.  What is that old phrase Ignorance is Bliss... I guess I'll think of it that way until I get a visit from a black and white car, knock on wood.
But don't get me wrong, I only think of these as perks, entertainment, and personality.  Life would not be quite as exciting if my roommates couldn't hear me when I come home, or turning heads when I drive through town, or my favorite is the advice people give me at the gas pump.  I'm grateful for Amy, and I'm glad she is in my life. Plus if you are ever having a bad day just take a drive around in Amy with the windows down and your frown will immediately turn upside down.

Shade is back... just thought you should know :)

As much as I love my down east tanks, I really love my shade undershirts!
Last year they closed all their stores, but had hope to reopen...
Well they don't have any stores, but they sell their basics online, and that is all that matters to me!

Love it!

Grandpa's Coveralls

When I was growing up my grandpa stored his motor-home in our drive why. When I say motor-home, I am talking about an old school ugly thing from the 70s.  My siblings actually named it affectionately Mahana, as in the old Mormon movie found here on youtube. Anyway I remember coming home almost daily during one year at school to my grandpa working on Mahana.  Whenever he would work on her he would always wear his coveralls.

These coveralls were a constant to me, and I loved to see my grandpa wear them.  But as my grandpa has gotten older he doesn't wear them anymore. So there other day I went over to his house, and there he was sitting in his lazy boy with his coveralls on. He said he was wearing them so that he could wear his back brace, but still I was glad to see them with or without Mahana. I couldn't believe how happy I was to see them on him.  Everything has been changing, so it was nice to be reminded of a time when life was simpler, and I didn't have to grow up and make life decisions.

Twinners

So I went to church the other day, and this is what I saw. Can you tell which one is me?

odd sleeping habits of abracadabra...

So usually at night I sleep with my phone somewhere in my bed, most likely under my pillow. Last night I was extremely tired and was falling asleep on the couch, so I quickly got up and got into bed. When I woke this morning, I wanted to know the time so I went under pillow to find my phone. This is what I found instead...

Three decks of cards where my cell phone should have been... like a magic trick!!  I have no idea how they got there. I do know however, that when I went to put the cards away, my cell phone was sitting on the couch, right where I left it!

random posts... I know

In case you haven't noticed, my posts have been a bit random.  Lets just say it is my way of becoming a better writer and making blogging a habit.  So you don't have to read the blogs I post, but I am just practicing by posting the awkward, funny, or random things that happen during my day.  Lets just hope they get more interesting. Oh also I'm working on keeping my posts short, and sweet!

Have a great day!

texting

Today I was in the library... yes yes I know it must be my favorite place considering how much time I spend there.  Anyway I am just sitting enjoying my study music, when all of a sudden my phone screen turns on (meaning that I have a new text).  The message simply says "Why are you ignoring me???" I turn to my side and one desk away from me there is this face starring at me beaming. lol! I instantly took out my head phones and called him a creeper. Don't worry it was my friend Ricky... just being Ricky.

I just love it when I zone out, I always seem to miss something, and then get creeper texts! Thanks Ricky for making my day... lol!
