Not again!

I've neglected my blog again!! Oh goodness!! Like that never happens lol!! Well a lot has happen! well I'll start from the begining...

On December 25, 2009 we got a new baby in the family, we affectionately call her The Babe! What a cutie!
So after the babe was born I went and spent the week at Melissa's house and played "the nanny" it was so fun, I love being an Aunt!

Then school started- Wahoo! It is my 4th year at BYU-Idaho... but I won't graduate for another Year... Oh well!
Here is a picture of me and my roommates... and a random kid named Brady that snuck into our picture!

(From left to right): Diane, Michelle, Melanie, Janelle, Ashley, and me of course! :)

So before school even started, the Bishop called me and I received the calling of Ward directory specialist: So here is sweet picture I took of my bishopric!! :)

Brother Moss, Bishop Taylor, and Brother Herbert! They are the greatest!
So moving on... A few weeks into school, I was working on some homework when I heard some panicked voices coming from the family room.  Then I heard "well don't rush in and worry Katie" then some of my roommates came and told me that there was a fire next door.  Then a Fireman came in and told us that we needed to leave our apartment just in case the fire spread. So I grabbed my coat and my laptop(my baby), and joined the other freezing, yet curious girls outside.
Apparently one of the girls was making onion rings and some how started a grease fire.
Here is a picture of one of the many emergency trucks that squeezed into our small parking lot:

Mister firetruck!
Then for weeks after that we had many visits from the restoration guys as they cleaned up all the smoke damage! It was so bad, you could see black marks coming clear out the front door! They ended melting their oven... so they got a new one. Here is a picture of the melted oven in the back of a truck (yes I did take the picture through the blinds... I was trying not to be a weirdo... oops):

(my creeping experience: I'm sure they could see me... oh well!)
So this semester I am taking a Field Biology Class. Its once a week, and we go on field trips almost every class (hence the name of the class) His tests are killer, but there are many fun people in the class.  On our first field trip we went to a riparian habitat (Beaver Dick park) which is basically a habitat that is depend on its water source. One of these dependents is a porcupine.  So my professor told us to go out and look for the native porcupine, and who ever found it didn't have to write the paper on it.  Here is the picture of our (dead) porcupine friend:

he's kind of stiff, and missing part of his insides... but still porcupine! :)
The sad part (besides that he was dead) was that I didn't find him, so I still had to write my paper.
Next are some pictures of me wearing some snow shoes on our next trip to look at lodge pole pines in Island park. We pulled right off the side of the road, strapped on our snow shoes and were on our way, up hill and down hill and ever ran across the highway with with the snow shoes on:

I've never been before, but it was a blast!
Last is a picture of what is left of the Teton Dam that I took with my phone, on one of our field trips:

Well I'm not sure what else to say! So I'll post some more later!! I hope everyone has a good week!
